I believe this is needed to prevent any surge or objectionable current from entering this circuit. I plan to place a toggle switch in an accessible location to act as a quick disconnect when temporarily shutting down the system. Used to protect DC breaker panel and associated 12V loads. Is there another location suggested where I can get the starter battery sense from instead of going direct? Fuse block? Is there any concern about parasitic drain over the long term if the vehicle was to sit for a while? has anyone installed a switch, or does this only pull power when the Cerbo is on? The attached drawing shows power being taken direct from the starter battery and also from the house battery bank for voltage readings. System ground will be 4/0 to the frame lug located in the back of the Van off the main distribution block. 4 X 100AH Battleborn LiFePO4 battery bank. I may also have placed these same questions in the text boxes on the PDF. I have some questions that are listed within the component breakdown below. The areas I seem to have some confusion revolve around the "small" wiring and where to pull sensing power from. With that said, I have done what I feel is my due diligence here on the Sprinter Forum and Victron community forum, and feel close to being ready for install in a few weeks. I work in the electrical industry and am confident in doing the physical install, but am not as proficient in the 12V( 14.4V) world and even less when it comes to Victron and all the associated components. My drawing skills/Blue Beam are not the best so accept this as an apology in advance and will explain in more detail if needed. The attached PDF in this post is a Victron model taken from online and modified to reflect my current plan at this stage. I have been working on dialing in the details of my 2021 sprinter house electrical system prior to build out and have some questions hopefully the community can help with.
